I'm using the video filter
I'm using the video filter on a d6 site that's in development right now (set to launch on july 1st!) and I love it! It is fully customizable as far as sizing (height and width.) To set it up I went to Admin->site configuration->input formats. There you'll find the video filter. When you hit configure you can set up what other filters you want to use the video filter with, ie. add it to use with the full html filter. You'll also notice at the top of the page yet another configure button. Click that and that's where you can set the default sizing dimensioins, autoplay etc.
Now when you create content and select a filter that has the video filter enabled and all you have to type in is the [video:http://www.urlofyourvideo]
Hope that helps!

Nothing shows
I just added Video Filter and activated for my various inputs just as suggested.
The tag [video:YouTube http://www.youtube.com/v/xxxxxxxx] just appears as nothing.
I'm using Drupal 6.3
What did I leave out?
The tag disappears when you view the page so the filter is intercepting to but the code doesn't work.
I default to full HTML as the input and I see "You may insert videos with [video:URL]" when you drop down in Input Format while editing the page.
Try removing any words
Try removing any words between the video: and the actual URL.

Tried your suggestion - same
Tried your suggestion - same result - a blank page this time.
But thanks for the suggestion.
Here is my video and the only thing in the page:
(My first YouTube and of my favorite coffee mug)
The page displayed is completely blank.
Try checking your URL again.
Try checking your URL again. It should be in the format:
[video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BahzS4mIt30]
That should work.

That did it, I used the link from YouTube but I will pay attention from now on.
Now I'm going to try to show a .AVI movie I uploaded to my hosting site.
When I use my fckEditor with the add on modules of:
Image, Image Attach, Image Gallery, Image Import, ImageMagick Advance Options
It does show a video window and runs just fine - however the first time you run it had Windows asking the question:
"Active-X modules need to be installed - do you trust this site, if so load them"
This always scares the hell out of me when I get this warning and always decline - so I can't expect my readers to click and thus they can't see the videos from my hosting site.
